According to the information available to us, a total of 23 Polish and Soviet prisoners of war/forced laborers who died in 1940 and 1942 are buried in this cemetery in an enclosure at the rear of the cemetery. They all came from camps no. 4 & 5 and were deployed in the Haverlahwiese ore mine of the "Reichswerke" in large-scale open-cast mining and in the two large-scale mines Haverlahwiese I & II. They died of hunger, cold, overwork and illness.
