Gemünden

The war cemetery is a forest cemetery - it is located in the middle of the dark forests between Spessart and Rhön on a ridge called "Einmal". The grounds and buildings blend harmoniously into the landscape. The cemetery is home to the dead from the final phase of the Second World War: Germans, Belgians, French, Hungarians, Yugoslavs and members of other nations.
