Total Occupation: 6 fatalities
Total Occupation: 6 fatalities
According to the information available to us, a total of 6 victims of National Socialist tyranny rest on this war cemetery. In detail: - 6 prisoners of war from the former Soviet Union who were forced to perform forced labor in the Neu Tramm armaments factory are buried in individual graves. Nothing more is known about their fate or the circumstances of their deaths. They were buried in the forest near their camp. More information about the Neu Tramm armaments factory and the nature and extent of the forced labor can be found on the memorial plaque at the head of the war cemetery. The graves are regularly tended by students of agricultural economics at the vocational schools in Lüchow. Note: The war cemetery is signposted from the entrance to the Neu Tramm barracks and, in dry weather, can be reached by car via a forest path leading south after approx. 450 m, which is easy to drive on.
